open gym & Mini Ninja open gym rules

  • Promptly follow directions of the coaches on duty. They are there for your safety and for the safety of all Open Gym participants. If multiple warnings are given with no response, you will be asked to leave.

  • Be careful when maneuvering equipment; use care in general with all equipment. If you are unfamiliar with equipment, ask a coach for assistance.

  • CHILDREN AGES 10 AND UNDER REQUIRE A SUPERVISING ADULT TO REMAIN ON SITE. Adults in attendance are welcome to play too, but we ask you to register as a paying participant and sign an Adult Waiver.

  • No games of tag will be allowed at Open Gym.

  • Please be mindful when using wooden pegs. Do not leave pegs laying around or scattered on the floor. Do not bang pegs together or against walls or equipment.

  • Mats must stay in their exact location as they have been placed at different stations for safety.

  • Inform staff of any accidental water spills by the water fountain. 

  • Be especially mindful when in the reception area, as clients for other programmes may be coming or going. 

  • We ask that spectators remain in the seating area at the back of the gym, unless you are actively helping the child(ren) in your care.


FREE TRAIN & TEAM TRAIN RULES

We ask that you promptly follow directions of on duty staff. They are there for your safety and for the safety of all participants. If multiple warnings are given with no response, you will be asked to leave.

  • Training times share the gym with other SMC programs.   Staff are there to ensure participants are staying safe and not interfering with other programs. Be careful when maneuvering equipment; use care in general with all equipment. If you are unfamiliar with equipment, ask an on duty staff member for assistance.

  • Participants are limited to Parkour, Ninja Warrior and Bouldering areas.  Certain equipment may not be available for use by participants as it may be in use by other programs. 

  • No horseplay, rough-housing or games of any kind are permitted at Free Train

  • Please be mindful when using wooden pegs. Do not leave pegs laying around or scattered on the floor. Do not bang pegs together or against walls or equipment.

  • Please ask for assistance when moving mats.

  • Inform staff of any accidental water spills by the water fountain.
